Installation Guide

  • Remove: Grasp the old filter, turn it counterclockwise about half a turn, and pull it straight out.
  • Pre-fill: Fill the new filter with tap water before installing -- this allows for better water flow right after installation
  • Insert: Place the top of the new filter inside the cartridge housing and push it up firmly
  • Lock: Turn the filter clockwise until it stops. Don't overtighten; the filter self-adjusts into position.
  • Prime: Flush the filter for about 2 minutes after installation. Discard the first two ice batches as well -- harmless charcoal residue may be present initially.
  • Reset: Reset the filter indicator light per your fridge's user guide.
